Should I go to a club or bar?

Many people sometimes wonder which place would be better for them when they are going out by themselves: Should I go to a bar? Or should I go to a club? Both are great places to meet people and you can have a wonderful time in both of these entertainment venues. Now before we talk about how you can find out whether you should go to a club or a bar, let’s first talk a bit more about these two entertainment spots.

Club vs Bar

A club is a venue where there is entertainment, dance and drinking till the wee hours of the morning. On the other hand, a bar is an establishment that offers alcoholic drinks for sale on its premises. Even though both these places offer drinks to their visitors, the main distinction between a club and a bar is that there’s a DJ booth and a dance floor in a club, which you will not find in the bar. Some bars do have a DJ, but then again the music isn’t as loud as in clubs.

Clubs for those who like loud music and dancing

Now the question as to where you should go depends on what you like and what you don’t. A club is a noisy place where the music is playing in full volume and if you’re the kind of person who likes loud music then this is the right place for you. As you may know, it’s very crowded in clubs so for those who do mind being in a jam-packed place, bars are better. As I have mentioned above, a nightclub has a dance floor. Do you like to dance? If you do then you’d have a great time in a club so it’s advised to go to a club instead of a bar. But then again if you knew you love dancing you wouldn’t ask this question! Well, there are still those people who think they don’t like dancing. I was one of them until I tried it, so if they want to try it out they should get wasted and go to a club. And when I say wasted, I really do mean wasted! Anyway, if they’re not thinking “why don’t I like dancing?” and they know that dance doesn’t express them, they can still have fun in a million other ways.

Bars for those who prefer something more relaxed

For those of you who prefer to be in a not so noisy place, I’d recommend you to visit a bar. Even though I like both clubbing and drinking in a bar, I find a bar to be more relaxing so if you’re looking forward to having a relaxing evening alone I’d suggest that you opt for a bar. The atmosphere in a bar is usually soothing and it’s a very good place if you want to spend some time getting to know new people. If your friends are not free to accompany you for the evening and you don’t feel like staying at home, you can head to a good bar and spend your night meeting strangers, picking up girls/guys, etc. If you are thinking about finding a potential mate for yourself, you should make your way to a bar because you can actually talk with someone while you are there.

For those who like talking

Are you talkative? Well, if you’re someone who loves to talk then you may find bars to be better than clubbing because you won’t be able to talk properly when you are in a club. There’s too much noise in clubs so it’s not the right place for someone who prefers talking than dancing. But then again, some of you might prefer clubbing even though you love talking. That’s because you can still talk in the club, but in a …different way than when you’re in a bar. If you want to have “proper” conversations while being in a club, you can do that when you go for a cigarette, as in many countries clubs have a special area, outside of the club (no music involved) where people go to smoke.

Ask yourself where you would prefer to spend some time when you are going out by yourself. Do you see yourself in a club or a bar? I, myself, prefer a club than a bar but then again, this is a personal preference and your choice may not be the same as mine. It all boils down to whether you’re more comfortable clubbing or spending some time in a bar. All I can suggest is that you try both of these places when you feel like going out. To be honest, for someone who likes going down it shouldn’t really matter, as you can have fun in both places. And that’s how everybody should be - cool enough to go anywhere.
